Digtial Artist, Carol Heath founded Pixel By Pixel in 2005 when she relocated from Sydney, NSW to Melbourne, Vic. With an extensive background in Photography, Digital Imaging and Education, Carol seized the opportunity to open her own business utilizing her cumulative technical and creative skills and provide a photo restoration and retouching service initially for the local community and later to a wider online audience.
Since its humble beginnings, Pixel By Pixel has grown and today boasts private and commercial clients including family historians, small businesses, online stores, designers, publishers, photographers and State Government Departments. Carol is also very well respected among the Victorian Genealogy Community and frequently provides presentations for Family History Conferences, Digital Imaging Workshops and Special Events.
Carol has written and delivered quality Digital Imaging teaching programs and manuals and delivers Photoshop courses and workshops both in the Melbourne Metropolitan area and online via remote screen sharing.

Further to her photo restoration and retouching work, Carol operates a second business; Little Critters where she uses her Photoshop skills to magically transform your child’s hand or foot print into a ‘little critter’ such as an elephant, fish, butterfly, bird or fairy. Carol’s bright and whimsical creations adorn the walls of happy children, parents and grandparents both here in Australia and overseas.
