Sending Photographs
By Mail:
If your photos and documents are worth restoring, then it is worth spending that little extra to ensure they are delivered safely to Pixel By Pixel.
It is recommended that you use registered post.
Some of the benefits of using Registered Post within Australia include;
*A unique identification number for every article
*Proof of posting, when lodged at the Post Office counter
*A signature obtained on delivery
*Insurance cover of up to $100 is included.
Registered Post services are also available for items being sent internationally and whilst there is no guarantee with any postal service, the tracking number does provide an added security.
Ensure that photographs are packaged safely between firm board (not thin cardboard), cut slightly larger than the print. You should not be able to bend the package. Place within a padded envelope and make sure you write “Photograph – Please do not bend” in clear writing.
Please do not forget to include detailed instructions regarding the type of work to be carried out, the size of prints required and the number of prints required. A ‘work request form’ may be downloaded by clicking here, to assist you with this task. Upon receipt, you will be contacted to confirm these details.
Upload your files:
Are your image files too large for email? You can upload your files here. If you have more than five files try placing them all in a common folder, zipping that folder then simply attaching the zipped file. This method makes both upload for the sender and download for the receiver quicker and easier. Please write instructions and a contact number in the comments box so that Carol can respond to your request.
By Email:
Scanned images may be forwarded to Pixel By Pixel by email for restoration / retouching or for a quote. Please refer to the scanning guide for assistance with selecting the most suitable resolution for your scans. If the resulting scan is too large for email, then you can either burn your images to disk and post them or use the upload option above.
